Read
Mothership - It's just so good. The updated rules fix all my issues with the beta and keep all the good bits. Also, I had forgotten how good the adventures are. I need to get Gradient Descent to the table!

I read through the Homeworld RPG Quickstart. It did not inspire me.

Oh, I have been reading Runequest Glorantha and its Bestiary, they are gorgeous books and are a joy to read. Maybe a bit rules-heavy, but I'm looking forward to giving the game a try at some point.

Play
The weekly Sentinels game continues to be sporadic. We should be playing tonight though and we are almost finished.

Dungeon Crawl Classics - I played in a one-shot funnel of this last month. It was a lot of fun! I was given four characters: two beggars, a minstrel (beggar with a lute) and a healer. Between them they had 5HP and all four were dead within an hour. Like I said, great fun. Recommended.

GM
As soon as Sentinels finishes we are back to my 13th Age game. Hopefully the fact that we will be playing online will mean that we can play more that once a month.

Looks like my long-delayed Band of Blades game won't be happening.

I'm running Mothership in the bookshop on Wednesday and I've got a couple of games to run at the local con in a few weeks.

Read

I'm flipping back and forth through the Salvage Union WiP again as I work on fixing bugs in my Foundry implementation, mostly just hoping there aren't any big changes when the final book comes out this month(?), but I don't think I'll be running it again in the short term.

Play

Gearing up for a short-term D&D6e game run by one of my Avatar players, I've put together an Owlin Ranger that I'm quite looking forward to.

I dropped my Avatar players in quite the hot political water last session, so looking forward to seeing where we go from here. I know where I want to get to on a couple of plot threads, but I'm very (overly?) cautious about moving things too fast.

The benefits of having a large player group is making itself known with my Scum & Villainy game; a few people have had personal and technical issues force them to drop out for a session or two, but we've always had enough to keep going. Unfortunately one player has decided that they don't really feel comfortable with the system (or more precisely, with the level of improv required) and they're going to be exiting at the end of the current quest chain. It's a disappointment, but I'm mostly worried that it'll be the first crack in the dam for other players who are on the fence.

I am happy to report that last night's Mothership game couldn't have gone better. The system quickly generates interesting PCs so I could let the players generate their own characters before we started. My favourite bit though is the d100 core mechanic which also incorporates Stress and Panic. Really clever stuff.

I will certainly be running more Mothership down the line.
