READ
I got loads of reading done while I was in France this year.

I read Monster of the Week cover to cover and I'm now really keen to get it to the table. The mystery building advice seems really comprehensive.

Cthulhu Dark also has a lot of good GMing advice, this is a really good read!

I read the first two Alien adventures, I'm hoping to run Destroyer of Worlds at the local game shop.

Since getting back I've read We Deal In Lead a lightweight fantasy gunslinger game using the Into The Odd system. I do not recommend it! It looks the part but there's barely anything there! Half the book is the ItO rules again while the other half has done interesting ideas but it never fleshes any of them out

PLAY
Delta Green. Still great. ๐Ÿ’š ๐Ÿ’š ๐Ÿ’š

RUN
My Iron Falcon game is heading to a conclusion. Still loving running for new gamers. They are very enthusiastic!

Mutants in Avalon is getting moving. Looks like the players are going on a road trip across The Midlands.

Read
Dragonbane, mostly - my box set arrived and I'm getting ready to run it in a couple of weeks when aniki is coming down for a few days. I think it's currently shaping up to be an all-mallard, no-magic party, which will beโ€ฆ interesting?

Alien is on my list at the moment, too - I'm rereading the rules because I'm planning to play it with some folks around Halloween. I'm mostly okay with the rules, I think, just need to finish off the last bits of my scenerio and make the PC sheets.

Play
Nothing, for now. A group that was going to run Avatar Legends is looking like it might not be happening now.

GM
Still and always D&D 5e, but as I say I'm prepping for Alien and Dragonbane, which are both very different - to 5e and each other - in tone and mechanics. I'm really looking forward to those.

I'd also like to finish off my The One Ring one-shot. Even just having played it once, I think that bit of familiarity with the rules will speed up the process and mean I can relax into narrating more. A big problem I had the first time was being so worried about getting the mechanics right that I feel like I missed a lot of the flavour and atmosphere.

Smellavision

My The One Ring game is on alternate Thursdays nights, thereโ€™s me and four players, and we could make room for another player if either of you are interested?
