Quite a lot of Salvage Union, almost in passing as I copy it all into Foundry. The more I read, the more I want to play it, so I might have to throw a one*-shot together sooner rather than later.

The rulebook PDFs for the Cowboy Bebop RPG is supposed to be getting sent to backers soon as well, so I'm curious to see how it looks in its final form – especiallly considering how much seemed to change between quickstart previews.

In our D&D 5e game last night, I one-shotted two bandits in the same fight. Every time it happens I feel guilty for ruining the DM's encounter and for "stealing" the cool moments from my party mates (especially if/when they're rolling poorly).

Scheduling difficulties mean we've not played Avatar or Scum & Villainy in a little while. While people's calendars get back in sync, I'll be running both games in the same week (Sunday and Tuesday) for the first time, which feels like it might take a lot out of me, but hopefully it won't persist for too long.

I'm about 80% done with writing a Salvage Union scenario, which is the most in-depth prep I've done in months – for a game I haven't even got scheduled.

I haven't been reading much the last few weeks. I got bored of reading old Storygames.

I should read Salvage Union. I just bought the gorgeous blue Vaults of Vaarn collection and I got Ultraviolet Grasslands 2, and the Big Squirm for Troika! so I have plenty to read while I'm in France next month.

Just the fortnightly Delta Green game. Which has been brilliant!

The Sentinel Comics game wasn't happening because we were never managing to meet up. So instead…

..we have moved back online and i am running Mutants in the Now, a modern reimagining of Palladium's TMNT game. We are playing a short adventure in the Mutants in Avalon post-apocalypse feudal setting where the Knights of the Round Table are mutant animals on motorbikes. It's not going to be a long game though so I need to get ready to jump back into the 13th Age game I've been taking a break from.

I've been running on open table oD&D game weekly in the new FLGS which has been going down well. After this I think I'll be running an Alien game.

I. too, ought to read Salvage Union; but I don't really like reading PDFs, so I'm mostly waiting for the hard copy. Ditto Dragonbane, though I do occasionally skim both.

Most of my reading, then, has been continued The One Ring 2e, which I think I've mostly got my head around enough to run, if I can organise an actual game - I've threatened to do it for the podcast, and want to get a test session or two under my belt before I have to do it on-mic. I've also been noodling away at a Vaesen one-shot, and there's still an Alien Cinematic game ratting around about 90% written. I'm really into Free League's whole thing these days, I guess?

Play
Nothing at the moment; radio silence on my would-be Avatar Legends game, so just waiting to see what's going on there. The same group was going to play the back half of a pirate D&D one-shot., but the guy who usually hosts is going through a house move, or something, so I've no idea when that might be happening.

GM
Still my two D&D games, though I feel like I've been letting the Rime of the Frostmaiden party down a bit through my lack of prep; and there are some threads I've set up that will need to pay off before too long, so I really need to get on that…

I only had a brief look through one of the earliest previews, I think, but it's psychotic dedication to using music terms in place of fuckin' everything meant I bounced off it very, very hard - which is a shame, because (as you know) I'm very fond of the show. Let me know if it's any good, though I suspect I'd probably have an easier time just porting something like Star Wars to the setting.
