Now that I'm playing videogames again I thought that my PWBs might get a bit clogged up if i kept my RPGs in the mix. Anyway, I think there's probably enough roleplaying going on in the Society now to make this thread worthwhile. Maybe not monthly though. Only one way to find out…

Run
13th Age - We had a few good sessions through January, I think this game might have been picked up a bit after faltering for so long. One more session and the group should level up and I'll kick the campaign plot up a gear.

Old School Essentials - I started a new group in January running a small dungeon which slips into an adventure in Faerie. Two of the players were entirely new to roleplaying and they both seem keen to continue. I've got a two or three more weeks of OSE to go then I'll offer the show them something else. I'm thinking either Troika! or Salvage Union.

Traveller - Another miss-jump has sent the group to another new subsector and made most of my planning an note irrelevant for at least a couple months. I think that has to be the biggest sandbox i know of. I'm loving it.

Play
I'm not actually playing anything right now, but maybe you are?

Read
Monster of the Week - As discussed in the other RPG thread, I have plans…

AD&D 2e revised - I'm enjoying these books way more than I expected to.

I'm trying to think of a word for the third category so that the PWB-style acronym would be RPG. Read, Play… Glance? Maybe someone else will have a better idea.

Run

After a brief, though successful, foray into Salvage Union, we'll be heading back to Avatar Legends next week. I'm not entirely sure what's going to happen next, with the players currently attending a fancy birthday party with something of a nemesis in attendance but a fragile political situation to maintain.

Play

I'm going to be playing something! Actually, for real! One of my players is starting a D&D 5e campaign, which isn't my first choice of a system to play in, but it's what's on the table so I'll f–king take it.

Read

Aside from devouring the Salvage Union quickstart, I keep going back to Electric Bastionland, which I'm starting to think might be my favourite system ever. I will eventually get around to reading all of the Into the Odd remaster (though probably not 'til the physical book arrives, at this point).

Read
Still idly flicking desirously through the Dishonored book, with occasional forays into Alien. No accrual game on the horizon for either, though I'm slowly chipping away at mini-campaigns for both that I might be able to get one of my groups to try out.

Play
I have a fortnightly 5e game that's getting towards the endgame now, and though I think they're going to run a sequel, I might bow out. I like my character and the setting, but I'm DMing two games and that's taking approximately 115% of my capacity, so I don't think I'm giving the DM a fair share.

GM
I'm still running two 5e games: my heavily-modified Curse of Strahd, which is somewhere around the early middle; and my homebrew podcast game, which just hit double figures. The party have finally arrived in what's going to be the main city for the next stretch, and little bits of backstory are starting to poke through at the seams; I'm looking forward to every session of this almost as much as I am terrified that I'm just going to accidentally ruin the whole thing.

Into The Odd is a fantastic little system. I've been building up a small collection of Mothership adventures, but I don't really like the Mothership rules, so I'm thinking I might run some of them with the SF ItO game Screams Amongst The Stars.
