Anyone watch the new Alan Partridge?

I thought it was completely wonderful, the best thing he's done since I'm Alan Partridge. And the magazine-show format just hammers home how true-to-life he actually is, as a character.

"Hygeine."

"Hello."

I need to watch it again. I was so desperate for Alan to do well, that I cringed at every mistake instead of laughed.
I think the actress playing his co presenter was amazing in a thankless role.
Nice to see lynn popping in, with her instant judgment of her.

I read an interesting point on this, in the Den of Geek comments. It's potentially the first time we've been properly on Alan's side. He's always been this loveable git, but here his co-presenter steals his jokes, the reporter contradicts him when he's clearly correct, and he was the only one who could work the Tweet wall. There's a level of professionalism behind the layer of useless berk.

I suppose it's the sign of a good comedy character. He's not just a clown.
