Just got an email from Sony - the games for August are WipEout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4.

I'll probably download WipEout, to add to my growing list of racing games I never actually play, but Sniper Elite just doesn't appeal. I think I just want more escapism in my games these days.

I've hovered over WipEout several times in sales, but as a less than massive racing guy, I always held off; but it's still a decent entry for me. Sniper Elite less so, but at least they're both fairly major releases this time.

Wipeout is really good, especially if you have PSVR.

No real interest in the shooty game though.

Isn't Sniper Elite the one where you can shoot Hitler in his one remaining testicle? In X-ray mode?

I have them both, so it's not the best of months for me but I do recommend both games.

Sniper Elite 4 is very satisfying, but not really one you can dip into for 5 minutes at a time. Like all Rebellion games it would benefit from a bit more polish, but the core mechanic is sound and I got a lot of mileage out of it.
