late to the party I know, but I’ve been having fun playing this; it doesn’t quite compare to my memories of the first one, with it’s selection of weapons that felt different and useful (whereas this has a load that feel very similar and/or pointless) and a far better flow of spotting the next ones while hunting down agility orbs
mind you I’m probably wrong on that as the intervening 10 years or so have more than likely given it a fictional excellence that it couldn’t live up to today
anyhow I’m currently trying to up my skills to level 6 (I want explodey bullets and fists) before taking on the last target on the map, but it seems to be taking ages and as I’ve done all the side missions I may just go kill her and get it done
Clicker Heroes - first things first, yes I do hate myself for playing this; I think I started during one of those play 3 free to play games and get some cash offers from MS. My plan was to ditch it immediately afterwards, but then it dropped a bunch of achievements so I had a look at the rest and realised they were all doable without spending money and so in a fit of bloody mindedness decided to get them all. Since then it’s been a long, pointless, slog of turning it on for a few minutes a day, but other than that basically letting it play itself which is for the best as it’s not really a game, rather an interactive spreadsheet with a pretty front end.
anyway, I’m now free - hurrah!
Additional Play
Bomberman R - it was free to play over the weekend so I availed myself of the opportunity and, well, it's bomberman; not quite sure what the point of it is though as it's exactly the same as any other version only massively more expensive and with an online mode that suffers from really laggy controls so it often feels rather unfair when you die, on the plus side there are actually people online (or were while it was free) and the kids loved all the different characters but I'm not sure that's enough of a draw to pony up for a full price game when the XBLA version is almost the same and at a fraction of the price - bit of a shame really
Looks like it comes with the original controllers rather than DualShock ones, which will limit things slightly
Play
Have had rather a lull on playing anything for the past few months but then I took the boy to the Play Expo thing at the start of the holidays and his enthusiasm for all the old games has gotten me back into the swing of things & to that end I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole of modding my Wii and SNES mini to make that easier (both of which are trivially easy, if time consuming) the only problem now being that I’m rather paralysed for choice so have mostly stuck to Smash Bros as something everyone can play
Bin
probably about a stone in weight; middle age spread is starting to hit and having put my back out quite severely the other week need to work on things to make that of a less likely occurrence again given I have to up on my feet most of the day
