What is 'Gunpla'? It's apparently short for 'Gundam Plastic Model' and it's a set you can buy to build various models of Gundam from the hit anime series. I was always intimidated by this but after watching one series called 'Iron Blooded Orphans' I decided to look up some of the Gundam models in the show and they were fairly cheap so I decided to give it a bash…well, it came, I opened the box and then immediately closed it again lol.

But after buying a Craft Knife and Hobby Cutter today I decided to just straight into it and…I really enjoyed building it! It's almost dangerous how cool all these things look and how fun they are to build because if I had the space and money I'd never stop buying them!
Crappy phone camera and lightning, maybe I'll take a better one tomorrow. Also, I might not post again in this thread for months because I dunno when I'll buy any more. But if I'm going to do more (and I will at least finish my other one next week) I might as well have somewhere for them.
Man, I should post one from /gunpla/. One that is actually painted, maybe even customised in some way, some of them are amazing. I'd like to paint mine….but I'd just ruin it, wouldn't mind getting someone else to make it look a bit more metallic though.

Bael! Baeruuuuuuu! From the same series as the last one. Two swords, bitches! I have no idea where to put this guy, because of the backpieces he's pretty damn big….
Took me 3 hours to build him, I had a lot of fun, more than I did building Barbatos, I even tried extra hard putting the stickers on (which is probably the hardest part of the entire thing…). Also I think this model is cooler, even if in the show Barbatos is cooler.
Next up, waiting on some Chibi Gundams! ^_^
But I also…fuck..I want so much more lol. I want Domon's Burning Gundam from G Gundam (my first series), I want a Gundam which is more bright and colourful than Red/Yellow/White/Blue this time.

I really do miss making these though, seriously considering getting the OG RX at some point…
I don't think so; I've done panel lining in the past and that's basically been it for me. Like, Master Grades don't need a huge amount of spit and polish unless you want them to really sing.
It's a lot of fun to visir r/gunpla andsee the insane polish people put on these, and the dioramas and whatnot too, not to mention seeing all sorts of sick new gunpla too. Might post my Gundam Wing EW later.
