GM’d my first session in weeks tonight, an adventure called Crush Depth Apparition. PCs are the crew of a submarine crossing the Atlantic in 1902 but every time they dive beneath the waves ghost of those who have or will die at sea haunt the ship. I’m having a lot of fun with it and I’m looking forward to them exploring the dungeon of bits of other submersibles which latches on to their sub.
We played the second half of this tonight and it was fantastic. If you want something a bit different to run for a couple evenings, it's perfect!
Hmm, maybe not perfect. The adventure triggers off of the submarine diving and the players reacting appropriately to the first levels of haunting. And the sub only dives if you roll bread enough random weather. My advice is to make the haunting inevitable.
Crush Depth is basically a depth crawl, i don't think they work. Coriolis The Great Dark though, which is otherwise awesome, is built around depth crawls. That's their last chance IMO.
