Half Life VR

Should we be excited? It looked a bit VR game to me, but Half Life… so. I guess?

Wait, Half-Life is still something to get excited about? Huh.

It looked bloody incredible. The interaction with the environment looks entirely unprecedented (although feel free to correct me, I'm not up on my VR games).

The sad thing is I will never, ever play this. Black headcrabs can sod off at the best of times, but in VR? Nope.

Nope nope nope.

Wait, Half-Life is still something to get excited about? Huh.

Of course it is. I feel like the internet has been peddling this "meh, I'm over it" myth just to keep its own disappointment in check. Valve have a 100% hit-rate with Half Life, and the Half Life universe. And not just 'good' games, but some of the best games ever made.

Until they start cocking that up, new Half Life will always be exciting.

Definitely still up for either Half-Life 2 Episode 3 or Half-Life 3 or Portal 3 or whatever.

Alyx looks great, but I won't be buying a VR headset any time soon.
