Dunno why we missed a November thread, but clearly Yakuza and Bulletstorm didn't set the world on fire. This month though…
- SOMA (PS4)
- OnRush (PS4)
- Steredenn (PS3)
- Steins;Gate (PS3)
- Iconoclasts (PS Vita + PS4)
- Papers, Please (PS Vita)
I don't do horror games, so SOMA's out. OnRush has been going down in price so rapidly, I'm surprised to see it accepted for PS+… no doubt Codemasters took the money and ran on that one. Steredenn's actually good! But it's only on PS3, which is a bit silly. Steins;Gate is a visual novel, no idea what it's like. Iconoclasts, don't bother with, it's drab and the story's bad. Papers, Please though… yeah, I'll have that, as much as it's Vita only.
Steins:Gate is based on an anime/manga that's fairly popular if I'm thinking if the right thing.
Didn't you only buy OnRush a week or so ago?

Yes. Only for £13, but still yes. Fuck sake.

Other way around - the anime is based on the game. I found the show pretty offputting, though, so the prospect of experiencing it at an even more glacial pace is less than enticing.
I read the VN on Vita, interesting at first but I thought it dragged a lot and the good bits weren't good enough to make up for the drag like the other VNs I've read (SOMEONE PLEASE TRANSLATE WHITE ALBUM 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). That said, people fucking LOVE this series, LOVE it. So I guess I'm in the minority, I guess try it out if you're interested in a Visual Novel?
EDIT - Interested in SOMA and by that I mean I'm not even going to bother downloading it. I liked Paper's Please but not sure I'm in the mood to play it again, obviously a good pick for people who haven't tried it I guess.

Oh, like Danganronpa but not as good?
