Additional Play – Outer Worlds. Anyone else got this? (Xbox folk, it's on Game Pass.)
It's great fun so far, basically Fallout without the enormous budget. Areas are smaller, there are more loading screens, but everything else is on point. The writing and voice acting are both excellent, the gunplay is solid (if unremarkable) and the quests are interesting.
I'm only a few hours in, but this could end up being brilliant.
I've only played about an hour, but I can't wait to jump back in. It's already made me laugh a few times, and the tone and setting are very appealing, as I've been on a bit of a sci-fi kick lately, and itching to play something like this again; as much as I loved Fallout 3, I bounced off of Fallout 4 fairly quickly, and have been reluctant to go back, so this seemingly turning out so well is fantastic.
I've downloaded it, with the intention of playing. I'll get to it soon, I hope.
