Browsing through the Switch eShop this afternoon and it's FORTY-FIVE FUCKING QUID. That's a pretty bold statement for a "not great but it's okay" Ridge Racer clone.

That's part of why we walked away. They insisted it was a premium product, we disagreed, they wouldn't budge. Their business plan was bobbins too, demanding ridiculous numbers of boxed copies guaranteed. Very difficult people to deal with. They previously did that silly Fruit Racing game which had an equally awful plan behind it.

Ouch on Xenon Racer, doesn't look like £45 worth of racing game. Especially when Dangerous Driving is out on the 9th and is £25 (on PS4) and is basically Burnout (and made by Alex Ward of Burnout)

See, I've looked at that and while the mechanics are obviously Burnout, the whole thing looks a bit… well, shit? The UI looks like it's placeholder rather than the real thing, the effects are a bit crap and it just doesn't seem up to par. But then, they're obviously a small team without the oomph of EA behind them, so that's a reason. Doesn't stop me thinking I'll leave it until it's much cheaper.

Yeesss.

Another game I will buy and be hopeless at when I try to play while half asleep.

How the fuck do other parents do games?

First child it was all about the PSP. The ability to just tap the power button to pause at any time was amazing. Being able to play wherever I happened to be was a bit help too.

Second child I was back on the PSP playing Persona 3 and then I got a Vita.

The Switch is pretty awesome for this too though.

I got divorced.

Fair. I got divorced and then became a parent. Yay, doing things the wrong way around.
