It's a bold statement.
After recently re-buying Bastion for the 450th time on Switch I'm calling it as a 7/10 game.
That's even more bold.
Bastion looks stunning, has a wonderful soundtrack, innovative dynamic voice over and solid action gameplay.
Just think of the weapons. The combat in the game revolves around a dozen different weapons each of which is useful and provides a different way to play the game and yet none of them unbalance the game. That alone elevates it above 7/10.
I hated Bastion, and quit it after about fifteen minutes when I just couldn't take any more of the fucking voiceover guy.
I didn't like the art, either.
Their more recent game, Pyre, looked much better, but I found the actual game part – that weird ball sport – really tedious. Which is a shame, cos I liked where the story was going.
Transistor was great, though.
By ridiculous, you mean awesome?
This is why I stopped playing videogames. Everybody is so wrong all the time.
It's a bold statement.

This. I mean, not so much buying it multiple times, but it was 7/10 all day long. I have no idea what the fuss was about and I played it to completion.
I know that this will enrage Bri, but I can hide my non-comittal "Meh!" no longer.
Beyond Good & Evil is worth a mention here. I mean, it was great, but it was brief and fairly basic in places. Some fantastic designs though. When the best thing about a game is it's text entry system, you know you aren't looking at an actual classic.
