Yeah the Cockney "accents" are incredible in this, the Irish geezer in the third trial was amazing too. Good use of Cockney rhyming slang throughout, must confuse the hell out of the Americans.
Iris and her weirdly big head is freaking me out a bit, though.
Iris is adorable! I was so happy she got more of a spotlight as the series went on and her leverage over Gregson is hilarious.
1-4 and 1-5:
Spoiler - click to showIs it weird that in both these cases they don't ever actually cross-examine the defendant? Maybe fair enough with Natsume in 1-4 because he's a complete basket case with no real idea what happened, but I'm spending half of 1-5 trying to establish a chronology of events which could easily be resolved by simply asking Gina what happened. I don't recall earlier games avoiding witness testimony from the defendants so much, or maybe they did and it's just more obvious here because it's so much more long-winded.
Also, did you know Soseki Natsume was a real author? For a Japanese audience it would be like having Charles Dickens in the game or something, but it's a cultural reference that's mostly lost on a Western audience.

I did but unfortunately I could not stand Soseki Natsume whatsoever in this game, worst Witness hands down. His animations and idle animations are exhausting, and I feel bad saying that since it was a bunch of racist arseholes that made him so jumpy in the first place.
I got to the end credits of Monster Hunter Stories 2, and have opened the post game bit.
It was a fun story, little bit repetitive, but really nice to see the MH monsters from another perspective. MH Stories 1 is free on Apple Arcade and I’ve been waiting to finish this story before starting it.
I think I’ve only been knocked out by three monsters in the game and one of those was my first attempt at the final boss. After that I decided I needed to do a little grinding and get some better weapons and monsties- I went back to get a Nergigiante egg and ground him up to lvl 40 and then went back to the final boss and just about scraped through.
I started Yakuza (0 I think, the one most people say to start first) the other day and played it for nearly 6 hours and have been desperately wanting to play it since, I can't remember the last time that happened.
