Actually I haven’t played either of the games in that Borderlands collection. Mind you I have played a bit of Borderlands 1 and didn’t like it, so I probably won’t bother.
Haven't played either, but like Gar, I never really got on with Borderlands.
Borderlands 2 is better than B1 in pretty much every way, although it is obviously very similar. It might be worth giving the series another go.
Yeah, Borderlands 2 is a big improvement. The gameplay is better, and the writing is much better, it's actually funny. No idea about the pre-sequal, I never played it. Shame the best Borderlands game - Tales From The Borderlands isn't in there.
It was on Plus before, so I already have it. Never played it, though, as I didn't have any positive association with the franchise.
I started the pre-sequel but it didn't hold my interest. I was losing interest in games in general at the time though so it might not have been anything to do with the game itself.
Hellfire Krieg is and Anarchy Paige (or whatever she's called, the Mechromancer) is a good fucking time in B2.
The Mechromancer is a lot of fun. The Siren is awesome too.
Ah yeah, her telekinetic crush was one of the best co-op skills, it was good solo but you can't beat an enemy suspended in thin air for priority removal and free damage.
For comparison, Games With Gold this month gets NHL 19, Rivals of Aether, Portal and EDF 2017. So utter shit on the “new games” front but two solid gold classics via backward compatibility for those who don’t already own them.

Neither did I, really. I didn't like Borderlands, played the first few hours of Borderlands 2, enough to decide that I liked it a lot more, but still suddenly stopped. I played TFTB more because I quite liked Telltale games in general and was very pleasantly surprised to find that it's a charming, characterful, and absolutely hilarious game. Really, it's one of the funniest games ever made.
Rivals of Aether is closest Xbox will come to getting a Smash game.
