Has anyone had any experience using NFC tags to cheat at collecting residents?

My younger child has restarted AC:NH and want to populate her island with nothing but ducks.

Sadly not, I have all the amiibo cards legitimately. I'm sure there's a way though… I have some tags for all the Zelda amiibo, for instance.

Firstly congratulations, Ducks are an excellent choice.

We have used cards, effectively you need the campsite, you can invite the person to visit and keep speaking to them from there till they agree to move in.
