PS+ September 2019

This month it's:

Batman: Arkham Knight
Darksiders III

Both good games, but both also available on Xbox Game Pass, so a complete dud for me personally.

Played Arkham past its welcome already, and the Darksiders series has never really tempted me.

Oh well.

I think i'm in the unpopular opinion that Arkham Knight is better than Arkham City and the Batmobile sections are fun, so it's cool. Darksider 3, yay. It's a shame the series as a whole has dropped off massively to the point I don't care about Part 4 or how it ends now, but yay.

I got a notification saying my Plus is expiring on 11/9. Ominous. I don't think I'll be renewing it.

… and it's the whole first season of Hitman on Games With Gold this month. Yikes.

As well as EDF 2025 (is that any good?), We Were Here (never heard of it) and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (which is superb).

EDF 2025 is very good. Play the jet pack character.

Arkham Knight is the only game I've bought day one with all the bells and whistles, so that's disappointing for me. Its like a tenner in CEX and can't imagine anyone with even the slightest interest in it hasn't picked it up yet.
Though have to say I'm very interested in Darksiders 3. Maybe Ill give plus one more month of use.

My love of the series is entirely justified.

I played a bit of Arkham Knight; having picked up the season pass for next to nothing in some sale or other ages ago (shortly before all our stuff got packed up in storage for a year…), I still have plenty to do.

So to start back into things, I finished the League of Assassins missions from the Season of Infamy DLC, and enjoyed it, though I can't help but feel I would have enjoyed it now if I could remember literally any of the controls. It took several punches to the face before I remembered that counter is triangle, not circle. Still, I'm getting there, I think.

Had a brief scroll through the trophy list this evening, and by good, there's a ton of stuff I still haven't even touched.
