We're getting:

Laser League (PS4)
Knowledge is Power (PS Plus bonus – PlayLink)
Master Reboot (PS3)
The Bridge (PS3, PS4, PS Vita)
Rocketbirds 2: Evolution (PS Vita, PS4)

Any ideas? Anyone?

Friday the 13th looks really interesting - I saw a couple of streams just after it came out, and was half-tempted despite not being a fan of either the franchise, or horror in general. Seems like it could be great fun with a group of friends.

Laser League was also on the edge of my radar around the time it came out, as a possible Tron-style splitscreen alternative to Rocket League; it looks like it might have been huge, if it'd launched on Plus.

The others, I've no idea.

2064: Read Only Memories is interesting, it's a fairly good adventure game with some nice storytelling. However, it's mired in the controversy of the studio that made it… depends if you can separate the art from the artist (or, in this case, the CEO of the developer).

Laser League is awesome. I hate sports games, so it must be good if I like it. Real shame the servers were near empty only a few weeks after launch. Thankfully, it at least gives you AI to play with if no matches are found.

Have neither, but they aren't on my list; don't think they're likely to see the inside of my hard drive any time soon.

I was actually contemplating trying Yakuza again after all the talk on here (I’ve played 1, 3 & 4, I think), so I’m pretty pleased by that. I actually quite liked Bulletstorm too, so I’m pretty happy with those two.

Shame they’re going with Kiwami instead of Zero. And Bulletstorm is a bit of a swizz, they already gave that away years ago on the PS3.

Yeah, 0 was the one I was looking at yesterday, but I’ve just got too much stuff to play already, so decided against it. A free copy of Kiwami will be a nice way to gauge how interested I really am though, I suppose.

I thought it'd been on before, but couldn't remember!

I've got Kiwami already and have so little interest in Bulletstorm that I've not even bothered googling to find out what kind of game it is.

Pretty sure there's something in it that rewards you for shooting people in the balls. I think, if I'm remembering correctly from when I played it on PS3. That tells you everything you need to know.

It's like a high-score stunt shooter. You get points for kills, plus bonuses for air kills, trick shots, etc. It's all tied together with an apparently very self-aware story full of "humor".

Hard pass.

Didn't a bunch of us play it when we were all attempting to play something cheap at the same time with the game changing each month? Think we did Bulletstorm, Spec Ops and Alpha Protocol

Didn't we all play the other one that came out at the same time with a similar concept and another name starting with B? I kept on getting them confused while I was actually playing one of them, I've got no hope five years later.

Ok, after five minutes googling through seemingly endless lists of forgettable last-gen shooters, it was indeed Bulletstorm we played and the other one I remember is Bodycount.

I liked Bulletstorm. Occasionally genuinely funny, gameplay was fun enough, and it had some lovely environments.

Mr Party Hat

Yeah I remember enjoying Bulletstorm. There was something genuinely satisfying about chaining up high scores, and I don't recall the over-the-top humour grating too much.

We did one for Catherine, too. I seem to remember everyone hated either the plot or the gameplay.

Not me! I loved both, but then I'm odd like that.

I preferred the story of Catherine to the highly stressful gameplay (those bosses… shudder), to the point that the PS4 remake's additional plot elements make it a tempting prospect.

Okay, now I'm definitely interested:

Gameplay-wise, Full Body … offers various ways to play through Vincent’s nightmares even if you aren’t up for the challenge and stress that comes with it. There is the Safety Mode that gets rid of the time limit, game over and traps. The undo function that allows you to correct mistakes is back as well, and enhanced with an automatic undo for fatal mistakes. For those who don’t want to play the puzzle segments at all, there’s also the option to have them play out automatically or even skip them entirely, without missing out on the adventure part or cutscenes.

I'm SO down for Bulletstorm PS4 and it's probably the type of game I'd need atm. Already have Kiwami and it put me off the series, but I know I sound like a contrarian saying that (especially because Party Hat-San fucking stabbed me in the back and was like 'nvm, I like it now :P', ARIGATO GOZAIMASU :eyeroll:) but I liked it at first then started to get really fed up with it and whatever it's all well documented blah blah.

Obviously a good month though.

Tried to play Friday the 13th last night, but couldn't get into a game. Maybe it was the wrong time for it, but I gave up after 5 minutes in the queue, and played some more Shenmue instead.

Still want to have a go, though; what are the odds four other Socialites would be available/interested at once?*

*this is clearly a trick question; the answer is zero

ACTUALLY.

I'm free most week nights and sometimes on weekends too. Will have a go if people are up for it, though horror games scare me shitless. So, there is that.

I'm not generally a horror guy, but this is 1v4, so it's less of the monster closet jump-scare thing; I think I'd cope better.
