I would suggest 1&2 has a slightly easier intro level and slower paced tutorial. Where as 3 tutorial does seem to imply you have have played the game before or are at least aware of the series, but otherwise as mentioned above don't think it matter.

Absolutely loving it though. 3 is my favourite and one of my favourite games of all time. I actually really disliked 4 at the time I first played it as didn't like the move away from the two minute format. I do feel like the levels I have played form 4 are slightly too big though for it's traditional 2 minute style so get that was probably why they did make the change at the time.

Loving moving between playing on console on and playing on ROG Ally an it all being seemless.

Microsoft has just upped the cost of Game Pass by 50% - the top tier is now an eyewatering £22.99 a month.

It seems a completely insane decision unless they're actively trying to drive the brand into the ground.

I'm paid up for a couple of years entirely thanks to Microsoft Rewards but I don't think I'd consider renewing when it expires. Maybe all the Call of Duty players will consider it worthwhile but I doubt it somehow.

Yeah, Ninja Gaiden 4 is probably the end of it for me, that said, it's probably the also end of the Series S for me completely now. I have never considered selling a console before, but I don't really relish the thought of even having to turn this thing on anymore, it's served me very well at least.

Yeah just spotted that this evening and its disappointing to say the least. I currently just have my on monthly sub for Ultimate but will need to look into one or the cheaper methods now.

Annoying as been thinking about grabbing that lower end Ally Xbox model too the last few days.

Aaaaand they've backed down. Game Pass Ultimate is dropping from £22.99 to £16.99 with immediate effect, but you don't get new Call of Duty games for a year or so after release.

That suits me absolutely fine, as I have no interest in Call of Duty whatsoever, and it's interesting to see that they've basically admitted that they were charging six quid a month for that alone. It's still a reasonably pricy subscription but I get a lot of use out of it and I guess the challenge is now on for them to add enough games to it regularly enough to make it seem like good value.

Game Pass Premium, which doesn't include day one releases at all, stays at £10.99.

Mostly this is stuff is interesting because we're immediately seeing the new Xbox boss making big changes; I wonder where this is going to go.

£17 a month has pulled the price back from "I should probably cancel this" to "I get enough out of it to justify the expense to myself". I would suspect they'll probably be paring back the number of non-first-party day one GamePass releases as well, though, so that might shift the calculus again depending how the library evolves.
