Not if you're on PC, but I assume you do if you're on XBONE

PFFFFT.
Just noticed that Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition is back in the sale on PSN… it's under £4 (in the Games Under £4 section, not surprisingly). That's ridiculous for such a good game. Get on it if you're that way inclined.
Not really a bargain per say, but that additional DLC episode for Borderlands 2 went live today and it's free until early July. Grab it, if you have any intention of playing it at some point.
The Epic games store has been giving away free games on a regular basis for a while now - they’ve excelled themselves this week though with the entire Batman Arkham trilogy AND the entire LEGO Batman trilogy, for free. PC gamers might want to grab those.
Already own them all, but grabbed.

Poor old Arkham Oranges. It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. Dunno why it always gets left out, it's like they want to pretend it never even happened.
The Tales From The Loop RPG is free on drivethrurpg tonight if you want some '80s nonviolent kid-on-bikes gaming.
You can also grab one of their new mobile PDFs for free while you are there.
My son really wanted this - I can't see it advertised anywhere though…. do I need to sign in?
I got one (thanks, Brian!) It wasn't easy to find - I searched for Tales From The Loop as there wasn't a banner advertising the giveaway or anything. I did have to sign up, but what's one more dodgy website with my details?
I mainly got it for the art, as I'll surely continue my streak of not playing the games I buy. The art is fantastic.
If anyone is still looking, it still appears to be available as of now: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/m/product/210617
Sorry, I thought it would be easier to find.
If anyone is planning to run it, can I recommend some '80s LCD Numeric dice: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16mm-D6-Dice-Six-Sided-Die-Black-w-White-Numbers-for-Board-Game-Pack-of-10-/201986089767
(Also perfect for Traveller)
Got it, thanks guys, excellent.
Can anyone please email me the PDF of that Loop book? A friend mentioned it today and I want to hook him up.
PM'd
Six month's GamePass Ultimate for £32.99 at Amazon:
Mine doesn't expire until April 2021.
Still tempted.
The Mutant Year Zero RPG is free for one day. It's by the same company and uses the same system as Tales From The Loop.
Grab it please and ping me a link like before, I'm on my phone.
No problem, for a digital shop it is bloody useless on Mobile.
I'm tempted: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-11-20-lidl-is-already-winning-black-friday-with-this-xbox-one-s-deal
Imagine it'll be hard to get hold of one though.
If anybody's massively curious, Anthem is on Amazon for under a fiver at the moment.
I fear curious doesn't mean what you think it does in this instance.
Given that Gar is still the only one to have made use of it, I figured I'd put a shout out: Christmas is coming and the store here at NoE HQ closes soon. Therefore, if anyone wants to take advantage of my staff discount, please send me a PM saying what you want. You can PayPal me in Euros. Digital codes are obviously easier as I can mail them over immediately. Physical stuff, we'll have to sort out postage (I'm back in the UK until after new year, so can do it then to save cash). Discounts aren't huge, but are still around 25/35% depending on what you want… for instance, first-party titles digitally are €41.13 instead of €59.99. Still money, but definitely cheaper.
Shout if anyone wants anything. The shop sells lots of stuff, including hardware, accessories and limited edition stuff. Ask and I'll see if it's on the list.
Joten is currently £3.50 on PS4.
What's the opinion on Firewatch? It's it worth £2.99 + however many hours of my life? It does look very pretty.
It’s nice, it’s quite pretty, it’s a four hour walking simulator.
Got ten minutes in, turned it off. Yawn.
Ok, one for, one against. Next vote is the decider!
It's not the most exciting game, sure, but it's got a great atmosphere and a near-unmatched sense of place. I loved it.
Cool.
It's OK. Never quite delivers on the early promise, but isn't a clusterfuck videogame resolution either. I liked it.
It's good. Well written and with a great ending.
Another in the 'for' column here, largely for reasons already stated above.

And because you can pick up turtles.
Free RPG today only: Symbaroum
It's a Swedish fantasy RPG about exploring a massive dark forest filled with ruins and giant monsters. Wonderful art throughout. The system is functional, nothing special but it's fine.
It reminds me a bit of Shadow of the Colossus and Twilight Princess.
Cheers, Bri - I'm probably never gonna run it, but I'm always looking for new systems to plunder for ideas.

If you were looking for a D&D alternative with all the flavour drained out of it then you're in luck!
The three first Dooms can all be got for under a fiver in total on Switch, which is a massive bargain. The early issues with them, I think, have been patched.
We can go back to arguing whether Doom 3 was any good or not.
We can go back to arguing whether Doom 3 was any good or not.
Wait, that's an argument? I mean, it's fine to be wrong but hey.
There was no Doom 3. The sequence is Doom, Doom 2, Doom 64.
Ahead of its time. But what if you could talk to the monsters? 7/10

The most stupid bit about that line is that this is a game in which you could trick the monsters into attacking each other. You could make two insurmountable hordes wipe each other out. How was that not a game which was giving you new ways to interact with the monsters.
Fucking Edge. In such a hurry to be snooty and pretentious about videogames that they missed the actual progress videogames were making. See also GTA 3 and Mirror's Edge.
There was a review recently that criticised Monster Hunter for only letting you kill the monsters too.
Edge’s GTA3 review should have been the end of them really. 6/10 for the game of a generation, they clearly realised they’d shit the bed and followed up with “oh, it was a misprint, we meant 8”. No one believed them.
The 8/10 review score which also suspiciously had 6/10 text.
