Don't all games? Even Mario has a penis in it, technically.
We all know what's going on under those swimming shorts.

I'd be surprised if they actually rendered Mario's penis under his dungarees. But you never know.
Actually, could be a good thread: do all games contain a penis?
It's like a more strict Bechdel test.
Does it count if it's a game written by a penis?
Yes, David Cage, I'm talking about you.

Thinking about it, that could describe a Society Drinks gathering.
There's 44% of Dragon Quest XI on PSN until the 4th of April, bringing it to a mighty tempting £25.
Anybody here played enough of it to say of that's worth it? I'd kind of been holding out for the Switch version, but it'll never be that cheap.
Steam are having a Hitman sale at the moment which includes 50% off all the Hitman 2 bundles, so you can get the Gold edition for £38.50 if you're so inclined.
If anyone has Amazon Prime, Twitch Prime (which you also have but may not realise) are giving away Nintendo Online subs for free.
You have to link your amazon account with a new Twitch account, if you haven't already, and then claim the free sub. They don't make it easy, but freebie yay.
There's apparently a sale on the Switch eShop starting on Thursday.
What’s Xenoblade Chronicles like?
Apparently very good, though a bit compromised in handheld mode.
I’ve only played the first one and it’s great.
De Blob is £10.79 if anyone wants to (re)play one of the best games on the Wii.

Seconded, it's awesome.
I downloaded the HD redo of the sequel as well, but haven't tackled it yet (mainly because I was blobbed out from playing the first one immediately before).
Wahhh I seem to have missed this. Nintendo eShop? It's showing as 27 quid for me.
Oooh never mind, it's 3 quid in the Xbox sale!
Oh it's free on Game Pass.
That was an emotional rollercoaster.
The kicker is that the discount is on PS4. OH THE AGONY.
Anyone vaguely interested in seeing what Danganronpa is all about, the first two games are currently available on PS4 in a single box for just over £20 on the official NISA Europe store.
There's some kind of Xbox sale on at the moment, which has Sea of Thieves and Crackdown 3 available for £25 each (among many, many others, I'm sure).
The PC version of Assassin's Creed Unity is currently free on the UPlay online store, since they're donating cash to the Notre Dame fund.
It’s not the best AC game but the recreation of Paris is astounding.
I came to it a long time after release, but I'm quite fond of Unity. Yeah, it had its issues, but I really liked some of the story stuff, especially bringing the Templar/Assassin conflict back to a more morally-grey area. The co-op wasn't too bad, either, from the bits I managed to play.
Unity was the one with the crowd tech right?
I honestly can't even remember now. It was the first "next-gen" one, instead of being cross-gen with Black Flag.
They've all started to blend in to each other I guess.
It's more that Unity was overshadowed somewhat at the time of release by its horrifying bugs.
Yeah, Unity's the one with the crowds. It's also probably the prettiest game in the whole series. It looks astonishingly good even today, years after release, though as Ninchilla said it did have a whole host of problems initially - bugs, poor performance, and a whole layer of gameplay linked to a mobile app that they stripped out in its entirety after a couple of months after they realised everyone hated it.
It's not the best game in the series by any means, but as a slice of historical tourism it's untouchable. And, yes, the recreation of Notre Dame is a marvel.
Just ran through the first tutorial session last night with all the settings turned up full, and this thing looks amazing.
They let you skip every cutscene except the modern day shit, though. Ugh.
Hitman 2 is down to £19.99 on PSN this week in case anyone hasn't got it yet. (The Expansion pass is still normal price though…. boooo).
There's also a huge "Big in Japan" sale with sizeable discounts on pretty much any Japanese game you can think of.

There's a Resi bundle of 4/5/6 – Gar, were you pro Resi 6 on the old Soc?
Yeah I really like Resi 6. It's completely batshit insane from start to finish, never lets up for a single second, has four full campaigns when one would probably have sufficed, and has a really satisfying melee system that half its playerbase probably don't even realise is in there. It's not survival horror in any way whatsoever - it's pure action - and it genuinely feels like the Resi team had a brainstorming session as to what they could possibly put in the game then went and did the whole damn lot just because. Obviously it makes no sense at all but that's not what really what you're playing it for, is it?
I played through 5 with a friend online when it came out and we had a ball with it. Don't need to play it again, ever, but always been curious about 6 and I could stand to play 4 again.
6 is better than 5 - longer, more varied, less racist, much much sillier - and has full online co-op (as well as, quaintly, split screen I believe) so if you can rope your friend in you'll probably have a blast.
He's since joined the PC master race so I'd need to see if I can find a new buddy.
Danganronpa V3 is less than £11 on Vita and £15 on PS4 via the PlayStation store, the Vita version doesn't even show up on the Big in Japan sale

Worth it. Will tell my girlfriend, she'll want it.
Yeah I nabbed that.
Ultra Despair Girls is also cheap, which is annoying because I only just bought it off eBay.
Is Ultra Despair Girls worth a play/necessary story-wise? I’ve got the first two games to play, just wondering if it’s worth grabbing that too. The trailer made it look…interesting, but not necessarily good.
I liked it, but it's a game of two halves. The story and gameplay don't mesh particularly well, since it's not the same as the main games - there's a lot of reading between the shooting bits, so it's quite jarring and you might find yourself wanting to skip the cutscenes to get back to the action. But as games go, it's decent enough and a nice addition to the series. You definitely don't HAVE to play it though.
Anyone want to buy an Xbox One? Original model, good condition and guaranteed in full working order.
You totally upgraded, didn't you?
Yup.
How much for the One?
Not sure when I'm next in London, so might need postorino'ed.

Thanks. That suggests it's not really necessary to the story, so I think I'll probably pass (for now).

People playing Resi 6 (or any Resi, but especially that one) over the Resi 2 Remake.
:(
To each his own, sure, but I'm still sad.
Sea of Thieves "Anniversary Edition" is under £20 on Amazon - digital download code for both Xbone and PC.
Deal of the day on Amazon is 3 months Xbox Live Gold plus 3 months free, for £14.99. Also includes 1000 Apex coins, if that’s of any interest.
Do I need Live to play Sea of Thieves?
