Itch.io has a Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality that includes over 740 titles (including videogames, tabletop RPGs and game assets) from over 500 creators – all for five bucks.
It looks like their server's getting hammered at the moment, though.
Bought. I meant, I barely play on my PC but it's $5 and it helps people (I hope).
Looked at the games I now own, one of the first listed is Paranautical Activity, which has a storied history involving the dev posting death threats at Gabe Newell. So, that's nice.
I bought it too, though with a list that long I've no idea what's good and what isnt
I think we need to get Felt to play through them all.
If we tell Mart there's achievements, he'll probably do it.
Please advise what kind of achievements I can expect from 'Three Lesbians In A Barrow'.
I see felt reading this.
felt. Tell the class what you've done.
I filled a wheelbarrow full of lesbians.
This is why it was a mistake to open the garden centres.
The other thing I did was buy an Oculus Quest. I'm not sure what this is doing in the bargain thread. It doesn't really belong here.
Having dabbled with the Quest in freestanding wireless mode and in link cable Rift mode, I have to say the wire-free experience is completely different.
The whole thing is amazing. The first time you turn the thing on and a whale flies over your head is one of those gaming moments that will stay with you forever.

All downhill from here, no one is topping this exchange.
If you own The Witcher 3 on any platform that can be connected to GOG Galaxy – which includes Xbox Live, PSN and Steam, among others – you can get a free copy on GOG as well, for the next week.
I realise most people have probably already rinsed it by this point, but as someone who never managed to give it much time on PS4 I'll happily ignore the PC version in my backlog as well.
Yes, it's the original and not the sequel, but Injustice: Gods Among Us for PS4, Xbox One and PC is free to download right now. You know, in case anyone's interested. PS4 one is the ultimate edition, which has all the DLC:

PC is through Steam, Xbox One is the backwards-compatible 360 version.
va-11 halla-a AKA Valhalla is like 7 pounds something on Switch.
Concrete Genie is a beautiful, kind-hearted, unique game that a lot of us probably looked past when it first came out.
It's 12 quid on the PS Store at the minute, and it comes with a Party Hat thumbs up. It doesn't outstay its welcome, I think it's around six hours from start to finish. (Wish more games would take note.)
Judgment is under a tenner on PSN right now. It’s a fantastic Yakuza spin-off that doesn’t require any knowledge of the main series titles. It’s even got a decent English dub (a first for the series) if you’re allergic to subtitles.
If anyone's vaguely interested in Not Tonight (the Papers Please-style Brexit simulator), it's currently less than £2 on Switch. Can't argue with that.
I spent £22 on eShop yesterday and got seven games:
Away: Journey to the Unexpected
Earth Atlantis
Feudal Alloy
Battle Princess Madelyn: Royal Edition
Not Tonight
Glass Masquerade
Heavy Burger
Don't mind that.
"Not Tonight" and "Heavy Burger" sounds like my sex life.
I can confirm:
Glass Masquerade - nice little puzzler, I like it
Heavy Burger - a crazy push-me pull-you back and forth, best enjoyed with others, but it's fine
Earth Atlantis - thought it was a Metroidvania, turns out it's like Defender and I've immediately lost interest
Battle Princess Madelyn - Ghost n Goblins made by a lone guy who clearly remembers GnG being better than it actually was, this is passable at best
Heavy Burger - a crazy push-me pull-you back and forth, best enjoyed with others, but it's fine
That sounds like my… never mind.
In case anyone hasn't realised this, if you have an Epic Games Store account, you can currently get Wilmot's Warehouse for free. It is brilliant. Get it. If you don't have an Epic Games Store account, create one just to get this game. They gave away GTA5 a while ago, but Wilmot's Warehouse is the best game they've given away.
It's a strange little memory game where you arrange items in a warehouse and have to remember where you've put them in order to fulfil orders. The items you're arranging are actually small vague icons. Do you arrange them by theme? Colour? Type of design? Maybe you've put all the hats together, and all the sea-based things together. Then you get a diving helmet as one of your new items. It's not just a memory game, it's a fascinating look at the nature of memory itself and how we make associations. It's also beautifully-judged in order to not become stressful or annoying.
Get it.
Hitman 2, Borderlands 3 and Resi 2 are a fiver each at Asda online.
Wow. I got B3 on Amazon for a tenner a few weeks back, with the full intention of using it to get the Series X upgraded version for nowt.
Some pretty deep discounts on Ubisoft Xbox games right now due to a Watchdogs Legion promotional sale, though I suspect that most of us who are interested already own 'em on one system or another.
I am tempted by AC: Odyssey, though - I bounced off it on PS4, but it might be nice to have on the Series X… 🤔
Worth noting too that Rainbow Six: Siege is all but confirmed for GamePass, so don't spend your money on that one.
Pillars of Eternity Definitive edition is free on the Epic store. Although I suspect any of you who wanted it will have long since bought it.
Ubisoft is giving away Starlink on PC today (15/12) as part of its gift days promotion. It's pretty okay! Not amazing, but far from terrible and definitely the best non-Starfox Starfox game there's been in recent years. I think you need to claim it through their Ubisoft Connect thing.
Can you use the toys on that? The Works have some of them in at the moment.
No clue, you'd need the base unit to do that and this is (was) a digital download. That had a paid unlock to get all the ships as though you'd bought the toys though.
All of Garth Nix's Old Kingdom books are 99p today. Young adult fantasy fiction about the daughter of the Abhorsen, a trained Necromancer who keeps all the evil necromancers in check. The story goes to really interesting places and has some fantastic characters.
Recommended both for interested adults and your teenage kids.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is 33% off on PSN as part of the January sale. I wavered back and forth a few times on this over the course of its story, but it stuck the landing with a flair I often doubted and it definitely ended up my favourite game of last year.
Yakuza: Like A Dragon is £22 on the Currys PC World site, on both PS4 and Xbox.
Digital or just physical?
Physical. This is Currys PC World, I don't think they've even heard of the internet.
Of course they’ve heard of the internet, they sold me an extended warranty on the internet only six months ago.
And a gold HDMI cable for £80 too, I bet.
Heads up, Game Pass Ultimate folks - a year of EA Pass goes for roughly £20 on CDKeys, which converts to four months of GPU. That puts a year of GPU at £60-odd, less than it is if you buy a year of GPU direct (it stacks). Not a massive discount, but a discount nonetheless. Fill yer boots.
(For reference: I paid €22 for a year of EAP, converts to four months of GPU. Three months of GPU is €39. So, that's nice then…)

Decent deal. I like the Terraforming Mars PC version a lot. Others are decent (who doesn't like Splendor).
I mentioned in the PWB thread I was playing XCOM 2 on the Switch. It's a serviceable port but clearly the PC version would be the one to get if you were so inclined. Happily it's currently 92% off in a Steam sale so if you've got a spare £2.80 you might want to check it out…

Pffft, who has a spare £2.80 these days?
/orders second foamy mocha frappuchino
Also, I have a Steam code for The Lord of the Rings Adventure Card game - it's of no use to me so if anyone would like it, drop me a message.
Almost as if you bought a bundle of keys recently recommended on a gaming forum somewhere.
I didn't, actually - the last patch for the game managed to lose all my progress so I reported it to the devs on their Discord. They've patched the game now but they've given me a Steam copy of the game as an apology. I don't need it though as I play on Xbox and that gives you the Windows Store version of the game "for free" anyway. Happy for it to go to a good home.
Xcom 2 is now super cheap on Xbox too.
Ratchet & Clank is free on the PlayStation store this month.
In the event that there's anybody here interested who hasn't already been swayed by the breathless praise the series has already received, Currys PC World have Hitman 3 for £28 at the moment, with the discount code FNDDGAME.
Never heard of it. Is it good then?
I mean, the series must be pretty okay if they've made two sequels, right..?
Don't know that anyone but me is still on the PlayStation train, but the new batch of Days of Play games are up.
I'll certainly grab them for free, though I've got a few already.
It does seem that eventually they will have given away every single game they ever made for PSVR, though.

So in a few years time you won't be able to play any of them coz they'll remove the PSVR section from the store?
